Food At Beber Camp

Food and Nutrition is an extremely important aspect of life at Beber Camp for two reasons: tradition and health.

Beber serves Kosher food and we ensure that the meals we offer are nutritious, balanced, and filling. Our two-week rotating menu provides enough variety so that our campers’ interest in their meals is kept alive throughout their stay at camp. Fruit is offered at every meal, a breakfast bar is available each morning, and a salad bar is available with every lunch and dinner.
We are pleased to notice a trend towards healthier food choices from our campers in the past few years. We are also pleased to offer campers the chance to grow their own fruit and vegetables from our own biodynamic garden.

All cookies and cakes are made from scratch in our own pareve bakery, and every camper participates in the Challah baking program over the course of their camp session.

Many parents have questions about food allergies. We can accommodate many food allergies. We prepare meals that are nut free and our bakery is also nut/dairy free. The salad room serves sunbutter and jelly in individual servings. Our kitchen staff works hand in hand with the health center staff in dealing with individual camper and staff food allergies.
