Adventures of a Lifetime
Turn your magic on, umi she'd say
Everything you want's a dream away
We are legends, every day
That's what she told him
Turn your magic on, to me she'd say
Everything you want's a dream away
After an amazing clear night under the stars on our camp property, Makor campers woke up, packed their tents and sleeping bags, and made their way back to camp for a well-earned breakfast of waffles and eggs. With full bellies and a lot of energy, they jumped right into another exciting day of Makor Mania.

This morning, Makor campers rotated through their next “taste” of our 3-Day Trip offerings. These sample experiences give them a sneak peek of the adventures that await them in future summers—and the excitement is building! Many are already dreaming of the choices they’ll make when they move up to Kesher.
Today was extra special: both Makor and TLP took over the waterfront! Campers splashed on the aqua park, paddled to the island, canoed, and floated lazily with friends. TLP even got a chance to waterski - a major highlight of the session so far! With warm sunshine and cool water, it was the perfect way to make memories.
The fun didn’t stop there. This afternoon brought a camp-wide Lip Sync Battle, where each cabin took the stage to perform. It was wild, hilarious, and full of spirit - the kind of joyful chaos we love.
TLP campers also had the opportunity to take part in an Empathy Program, fostering important conversations about self awareness and personal growth. Meanwhile, the CITs (Counselors-in-Training) completed the second half of their Mental Health Training, gaining valuable insights into camper well-being and learning how to best support others as future counselors. This thoughtful mix of training and play is what makes our TLP program such a strong bridge to leadership, providing tools for success while keeping the camp experience fun and meaningful.
I wanted to share a little more about the trips that we didn’t mention yesterday.
Fine Arts Trip
Campers travel to Governor Dodge State Park, surrounded by beaches, trails, and waterfalls. Between yoga sessions, advanced bracelet-making, and song circles, they explore their creativity in a stunning natural setting. Highlights include a visit to House on the Rock and a day at Circus World, where campers enjoy carousels, circus wagons, and live performances. It’s a trip filled with imagination and inspiration.
Fishing Trip
Always a favorite, this trip splits between Sheboygan for Kesher campers and Sturgeon Bay for Ramot. Campers fish local ponds and waterways, culminating in a charter boat expedition on Lake Michigan. After reeling in their catch (including a record-breaking 27 fish and a 25-pound King Salmon from today’s trip!), they filet and cook it themselves. There's nothing quite like enjoying a meal you caught with your own hands!
Outdoor Sports Adventure (OSA)
At General Bong Recreation Area, campers compete in teams in baseball, Ultimate Frisbee, capture the flag, and more, including fun challenges like hula hoop contests and silly relay games. They also enjoy a trip to a local pool with slides and water play areas, and end the adventure with a Milwaukee Milkmen game, complete with pizza, drinks, and the famous cow hats! Tonight, several lucky campers caught baseballs as souvenirs.
Senior Ramot Backpacking Trip
This exclusive adventure is for our Senior Ramot campers. They trek along the Ice Age Trail, hiking in opposite directions from Little Prairie to Highway C. This trip is a true bonding experience, filled with reflection, growth, and accomplishment. It’s a powerful capstone to their camper journey before joining TLP next summer.

Dinner tonight was a classic indoor BBQ - hotdogs, hamburgers, and cool, refreshing watermelon. The perfect meal after a busy day in the sun!
Makor campers got cozy in their pajamas for a special Movie Night in Crown Hall. They watched Trolls on the big blow-up screen while munching on trail mix, a tasty nod to their camping adventure. Seeing them curled up on blankets, laughing and enjoying their treat, was pure camp magic.
Meanwhile, PIOs took part in the Beber Night Walk, a scavenger-hunt-style program exploring the hidden histories and legendary stories behind various camp landmarks. It was a fun way to connect with Beber’s rich past and work together in teams.
Each day at camp brings something new - growth, laughter, and unforgettable moments. And today was no exception. From the waterfront to the woods, from lip sync battles to quiet reflections, we are so proud of everything our campers are experiencing this summer. Campers are having the adventures of a lifetime! Stay tuned for more!
Peace, Love, 3BC
