Crown Hall Renovation Update #1: Breaking Ground

Over the past few weeks, Crown Hall has begun its exciting transformation. As soon as camp wrapped up, our maintenance and music teams spent two full weeks carefully clearing the building, removing furniture and equipment, and saving gear that will continue to serve camp. With the space ready, contractors have now moved in and the real work has begun.

The changes are already dramatic. The tile floor has been completely removed. The walls in the basement are down to the studs, and this space will soon become a brand-new music area. Outside, trees that had grown too close to the building have been taken down to make way for safer access and a fresh exterior.

We kicked off the project with a special Crown Breaking Ceremony, and if you haven’t seen it yet, you can watch the video on our Instagram to share in the excitement of this historic moment.

It’s a little dusty and a lot different, but what’s most exciting is imagining what this space will become. Over the next several months, we’ll share updates as Crown Hall continues to evolve. We’re moving from demolition to construction to a space ready for campers, staff, and the entire Beber community to enjoy for decades to come.

This is just the beginning, and we can’t wait to take you along for the journey.

Peace, Love, 3BC,
Michael & Harrell
