Breaking Ground on What’s Next

It was a cool April morning at camp, but the energy made it feel anything but.

This past week, we officially broke ground on our new maintenance building, an exciting and much-needed step forward for Beber Camp. Surrounded by members of our Board, seasonal staff, and project partners, we gathered under the Beber tent, hard hats on and shovels in hand, to mark the beginning of something important.

This building may not be the most visible part of camp life, but it plays a critical role in everything we do. From maintaining our facilities to supporting the daily operations that keep camp running smoothly, this investment strengthens the foundation that allows our campers and staff to thrive.

We were grateful to hear a few words from Richard Fohr, whose leadership as site manager has been instrumental, and from Joel Cook of Ogden Construction, who will be guiding this project forward. Their partnership, along with the support of our Board, helps turn vision into reality.

This moment would not be possible without the generosity of our donors. Their belief in Beber Camp and commitment to our future continues to move projects like this from idea to reality.

There is something meaningful about moments like this. They remind us that camp is always evolving and always growing to better serve our community.

We can’t wait to see this space take shape in the months ahead.
