Getting To & From Camp – Summer 2026

Transportation details may not be the most exciting part of camp prep, but they’re one of the most important sections of your camper forms. This information helps us know how and where to welcome your camper and ensures everything runs smoothly on opening and closing days.

Below is an overview of your transportation and luggage options for Summer 2026.

Getting To Camp

✈️ Chaperoned Flights

Beber Camp offers chaperoned flights out of select major cities for certain sessions. When available, you’ll receive an email with flight details, and you’ll be able to link your camper to our staff or parent chaperone to waive the unaccompanied minor fee.

Summer 2026 Chaperoned Flights:

  • Louisville – First Session
  • Cleveland – First Session
  • Memphis – First Session
  • Los Angeles – First Session (return flight on July 10)
  • Denver – First Session
  • Denver – Second Session

✈️ Individual Flights

If your camper is flying individually, no problem! Our staff will meet your camper at their gate upon arrival at ORD or MKE.

  • Please enter flight details in your camper forms
  • Closer to camp, we’ll provide the name of the staff member to connect to the reservation so they can receive a gate pass

🚌 Chicago Suburbs Bus

For families in the Chicago suburbs, we offer a bus that departs Sunday morning.

  • Families outside the suburbs may also fly or drive in and have their camper take the bus
  • Luggage is not permitted on the bus and must be sent separately (see Luggage section below)

🚗 Driving to Camp

Families are welcome to drive their campers to camp.

  • Drop-off window: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
  • Arrival times are assigned and staggered and will be shared closer to camp
  • If you have a time preference, please contact Julia Bessen at julia@bebercamp.com

Leaving Camp

  • Wisconsin and Minnesota families may pick up their campers by car
  • All other campers must either:
    • Take a flight departing between 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM, or
    • Ride the Chicago Suburbs Bus for pickup

🧳 Rookies (2-Week Campers)

All 2-week campers must be picked up by car at camp between 10:00 – 11:00 AM on their last day.

For out-of-town families:

  • We can chaperone campers to MKE or ORD
  • Families meet our staff at the airline check-in counter
  • Please book return flights no earlier than 12:30 PM

Luggage Options

🚗 Drive Your Luggage to Camp

If you’re driving your camper to camp, you may bring luggage with you.

🚚 Chicago Luggage Truck (Suburbs & Downtown)

Beber offers a luggage truck departing the Friday before camp from:

  • Chicago Suburbs
  • Downtown Chicago

Even if you are driving to camp, we strongly encourage Chicagoland families to use the luggage truck so luggage is waiting in bunks upon arrival.

🆕 NEW for Summer 2026: Denver/Boulder Luggage Truck

We’re excited to partner with Door-Va-Door Trucking to offer a Denver/Boulder luggage truck for both sessions.

  • Required for all Denver/Boulder families
  • One-way only (to camp)
  • Designed to make flying easier for campers and staff

📦 ShipCamps

We are again partnering with ShipCamps to make shipping luggage simple.

➡️ Visit https://shipcamps.com/beber-camp for details and registration.

✈️ Flying with Luggage + Bus to Camp

If your camper is flying with their luggage and then riding the bus:

  • Select “Flying With My Camper (Airport Truck)”
  • Beber staff will assist campers at baggage claim and load luggage onto the bus
