Hello Beber Camp and Happy Spring (finally!!) My name is Hannah Schreiber and this summer I will be the Ramot Division Leader! I have been all over the place in the camp world, I have been Kesher Head Counselor, a Pio Leader, and the Makor Division Leader but I have never worked in Ramot! I am so excited and grateful to have the opportunity to work with the oldest campers on camp. Being in Ramot comes with many privileges and responsibilities. Ramot Campers get to sleep in, stay up later, and participate in programs that are designed specially for the oldest kids. Being the oldest campers means that you are a role model to everyone else on camp, all of the younger campers look up to you and wait for the day that they will be able to sit in the back of the ampitheater and join in on “Ramot is on fire.” The two years I spent in Ramot were two of my favorite summers at camp (back in my day Ramot was only two years). One of my favorite memories was my senior ramot Maccabiah, I loved helping the Makor and Kesher campers in their events and leading the team in cheers and Ruach! I love watching the incredible energy of Ramot Campers and their ability to form deep relationships and unforgettable memories throughout the summer.

With camp just around the corner its important to remember the reasons we all keep coming back to camp. Beber Camp is a place where we can be ourselves, make lifelong friendships, and grow as Jewish leaders both in the camp community and outside of it. To all the new campers reading this, we can not wait to meet you in just a few weeks. Whether you’re staying for 2 weeks or 8 weeks, the time you spend at camp is irreplaceable and unique, if you come in with an open mind and an open heart you will learn things about yourself that you never knew and at the end you will at least know how to make your bed. Enjoy the rest of the school year and we will see you sooner than you think!
