Hobbies

Hobbies are activities that campers choose while at camp. Each day there are three hobbies (see daily schedule). Typically, campers participate in 5 sessions of one hobby.  Over the course of a camp session, a camper will participate in 9 hobbies.  The goal is to allow campers to develop skills at their own pace, interact with children from other cabin groups, and of course, have fun!

All campers receive the Beber Big Book of Hobby Choices.  Click here for an example.  You can also read a sample list of hobbies below.

What Our Parents & Campers are Saying

“On a more personal note, I thank you for taking exceptional care of my daughters. [My middle daughter] came to you as a child with separation issues. The confidence that she has gained by not only "making it through" 4 weeks ([she]was signed up for the rookie program) but doing it happily is a treasure that you cannot put a dollar sign on. FYI- [she]…” Anonymous Beber Camp Parent
