As recent Beber alumni who have just joined the “real world,” we had been craving a way to stay connected with and see our friends from camp. While we no longer get to attend camp during the summer, we want to continue to support the place that played a crucial role in our own personal development and that facilitated these life-long friendships. Beber Rocks was the perfect event to fill those needs, and it came at perfect time of year!

This year’s event raised over $3,000 for Beber’s Annual Campaign for Camper Scholarship, a fund that ensures no child is denied a Beber Camp experience due to financial need. The event brought together a community of Beber staff, alumni and friends of all ages for a fun-filled night of reminiscing, music and dancing!  With over 85 attendees, this year’s turnout made it one of the largest Beber Rocks events ever, and Bar Louie in River North in Chicago provided a great venue to catch up with friends and enjoy old camp songs from the Beber Band!

The only bummer of the night was that neither of us won one of the awesome raffle prizes, so at Beber Rocks 2017 we will definitely have to buy more raffle tickets. In the mean time, we are excited to help plan other Young Alumni Events for the alumni community in the Chicago area! (Please let us know if you have suggestions!)

Looking forward to seeing more Beber friends soon!
