Where is Beber located?
Beber is nestled in the rolling hills of Mukwonago, Wisconsin.  Mukwonago is only 90 minutes Northwest of Chicago, Illinois and 45 minutes southwest of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  How do you say "Mukwonago"?  Just think of it as the place that you "wanna go".
 

What is Beber's Facility like?

Camp is comfortably located on 375 acres of beautiful woodland, nestled on the shorelines of a large, clear lake.  Facilities include cabins, a health center, dining hall, theater arts building, amphitheater, gazebo, 40 foot high climbing wall, dance studio, tennis courts, indoor and outdoor basketball courts, baseball diamond, athletic fields, roller hockey rink, ga-ga court, recording studio, swimming pool and more.  Beber is not a “country club”, rather a rustic, friendly community in a small town. 

 
What is housing like for staff?
Counselors and specialists live in cabins with campers, but have private counselor quarters.  All cabins include running water, flushing toilets, and electricity.  Each staff member is provided with their own bed and cubby.
 
What is the week of staff training like?
Staff get comfortable with the camp surroundings, familiarize themselves with routines, traditions, policies, programs and facilities.  Most importantly, staff develop friendships and working relationships and prepare themselves for the arrival of the campers.
 
Are there days off?
Yes, days off are a highlight.  Nearby destinations include Chicago, Milwaukee, Madison, Lake Geneva, and the Wisconsin Dells.  Each staff member receives 4 days off per summer, 2 per session.  A day off begins at 6pm and ends the next day at curfew (1am).
