Pioneers!
| About the Pioneer Program |
|
Beber’s Pioneer program is the first year of Beber’s two-year counselor training program. This first-year creates a foundation that will be built upon and further developed in the second-year of the counselor training program, C.I.T. The Pioneer program focuses on leadership development, team-building, and the beginnings of counselor training. Pioneers are role models for other campers at camp, demonstrating spirit, excitement and energy. They learn and practice program planning, participate in hobbies, and lead activities for campers. As role models at camp, they are held to a higher standard and set an example for other campers with their actions and behavior. All of these elements combine to transition Pioneers from being campers and prepare them for the challenge of the C.I.T. program. A
selection process exists in order to help the program accomplish these
goals. Potential Pioneers
must submit an application and be accepted into the program.
